Ghosts
The topic of ghosts has intrigued me since I was a young boy, though I was terrified of the dark, so much so that I had to have the bedroom lights on, the door open, and the landing lights ablaze, all in the hope of pushing back the shadows. Things have changed a lot since then, I am no longer afraid of the dark, and have a healthy interest in the phenomenon of ghosts.
I have gained a great deal of experience over this last five years, having completed well over 200 overnight investigations as well as paranormal investigations with a small group. I feel however that it is necessary once more to present some facts about ghosts. I have an extremely well developed clairvoyant ability, in that I am able to see ghosts as well as spirit as clearly as I can see everything else. My clairvoyant ability utilises what is termed objective clairvoyance, this means that what I am seeing, ghost or spirit is not merely within my minds eye, more so as they would be walking amongst us. Both ghosts and spirits can be perceived in the same manner, through sight, and hearing, though the feelings and emotions which can be ascertained are quite different.
Ghosts can be described as a residual energy which has been permeated into the surrounding fabric, brick walls, carpets, curtains, or even furniture. The reason for this, is the factor of the auric field, as the energy is constantly in a state of flux, both in towards and away from the physical body. These energies over a period of time seep into the surrounding fabrics leaving a likeness of the person as they would have appeared whilst they themselves where in a physical body.
The key point here however is that the energy is representative of a given point in time, and gives rise to reports of people walking through walls or hovering over the ground. If you think about it logically, what you are perceiving is how things would have been when the energy was permeated into the surrounding fabrics. As an example, you are reading a present day report of a person's experience as they witnessed a lady from the Tudor age quite literally walk through a wall, the questions you should be asking are - "was there a wall there during the Tudor period" if so, it probably had a doorway there. The same can be said of a ghost seemingly hovering over the ground, quite simply the ground level was of a higher level than we are seeing today.
To illistrate this further, consider the following well reported occurrence:
"An apprentice plumber, was working alone, was installing a new central heating system in the cellars of the Treasurer's House. But on this day, he was in the basement room. He was suddenly startled by the sound of a horn nearby. He thought little of it after a few moments and so returned his attention back to his work. A short while later he heard the sound again. This time it was much closer, seemingly in the cellar itself. The young man looked up, and as he did so he saw something rather unexpected.
A horse stepped into view through the wall of the cellar, and Harry fell off his ladder in shock. On the animals back was a man, helmeted and armoured in what appeared to be the style of a Roman soldier. As the horse and rider walked across the cellar, they were followed by a column of soldiers, all helmeted and wearing some sort of red kilt and carrying round shields and dressed in rough green tunics, carrying carrying short swords or spears. One soldier carried a long trumpet, which looked very battered and worn instrument. This was obviously the source of the noise heard moments earlier.
They all looked down in a dejected manner as they continued towards the Minster, as the soldiers walked across the floor, they seemed to be very short in stature. The young man then noticed that the men were apparently marching within the floor as from the knees down, their legs were hidden by the floor of the cellar. However, as they crossed the room, they passed across a recently excavated area and it became clear that they were walking on the old Roman road buried 15 inches below the surface. The young man could clearly see their lower legs and feet as they emerged from the wall of the channel"

The feelings that can be perceived from a ghost are very real indeed, they can move you to tears or literally make you run. The main point I wish to state is that a ghost is not sentient, it is not aware of its surroundings, and most definitely can not interact or communicate with us. Remember the energy left behind, hence the term residual is merely an echo, but because it was once a living thing, having an aura, the information contained within the aura has also been captured and can be perceived.
Ghost energies are very specific to an area within a location, you could walk around the room of a haunted mansion and only feel the presence of an energy in a small part of this room. In my experiences with working with the public on overnight investigations, when I have asked them to stand within a certain area and gauge their reactions. As a general rule of thumb, if you feel sensations down the left side of your body and nothing down the right, then move a little to the left and you will find the sensations pass over the entire body.
To date I have amassed 194 reports, the information from which has been entered into an ever expanding database, comprising some 3000 entries and contains information on 3287 individual ghost sightings, gained from over 50 different locations around the country, ranging from battle fields, castles and stately homes.
